Ervin Taçi, Jurtin Hajro, Olsi Efthimi, Doriana Bozgo Bleta, and Artan Raça will represent the Albanian architecture at SHARE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING FORUM TIRANA 2018
On 20 February, the SHARE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING FORUM TIRANA 2018 will take place at the Plaza Hotel in the Albanian capital. The event will bring together a series of extraordinary speakers to celebrate architectural excellence through their most recent internationally acclaimed projects.
SHARE Tirana 2018 – INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING FORUM will bring together international and national specialists in architecture.
The speakers that will present at this year’s edition of SHARE FORUM in Tirana are renowned personalities coming from 10 countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Italy, Belgium, Romania, Kosovo, Iran, Macedonia, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
The national studios that will present at SHARE Tirana 2018 will be, Dea Studio represented by Ervin Taçi; Commonsense Studio represented by Jurtin Hajro; Atelier 4 Studio represented by Olsi Efthimi; Studio B&L represented by Doriana Bozgo Bleta; and Studio Raça Arkitektura – represented by Artan Raça.
The arch. Ervin Taçi, – he is the co-founder and creative partner of DEA Studio (Design Engineering Architecture Studio) since 2002. Known for his innovative and ambitious designs and projects, many of his buildings defy traditional architectural conventions and dimensions. He often incorporates sustainable development ideas and sociological concepts into his designs, but tries to achieve a balance between the playful and practical approaches to architecture. He was awarded in the 1-st place in THE INTERNATIONAL OPEN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION of “Durana Tirana – Durresi Economic Corridor”, shortlisted & awarded in the 3-rd place in THE INTERNATIONAL OPEN COMPETITION Tirana Station Towers in 2008.
The arch. Jurtin Hajro is architect and founder of commonsense studio, an international office based in Tirana. He has been awarded first prize international awards in Osumi Island and Faith Park International Urban and Landscape Design Competitions organized in Albania. Recently, together with substantial team he has won the competition to curate the Albanian Pavilion of Architecture in Venice Biennale 2018. In 2017 he has been the creator and curator of Modeling the Idea, Pavilion Days, an event calling for interdisciplinary collaboration between artists and architects in Korca.
The arch. Olsi Efthimi representing the Atelier 4 Studio will speak at the SHARE Tirana 2018 – INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING FORUM about his project “Restoration and urban revitalisation of New Bazaar” sharing his extensive background in architecture from concept design through completion of construction, coordinating the efforts of contractors and government agencies. He has an outstanding experience operating in a wide range of projects including, hotels, theatres, schools, residential buildings, etc. Excellent technical qualifications complement an innate sense of creativity in the design of aesthetically attractive, architecturally strong and utilitarian space.
The arch. Doriana Bozgo Bleta is co-founder at Studio B&L and she also teaches at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism in the Polytechnic University of Tirana as master and lecturer in Studio 1&2, and Interior Design. At the same time, Doriana Bozgo Bleta is involved in scientific research proccess, participating in various conferences and publishings that focus on architecture. The subject of her researching work is the exploration of new possibilities toward a new contemporary identity approach in the albanian architecture and urban design of these days. She won the “Durana – Urban improvement of the corridor Tirana-Durrës, international competition” (with Dogma), 2014; and she was finalist at the “Biennal of Venice, Albanian pavillion, international competition” (with Dogma) 2015.
The arch. Artan RAÇA is the founder of studio Raça Arkitektura in Tirana. Studio which works like a small workshop for a city architecture, where the answer to the concrete conditions creates the primary language and separates his architecture from self-referentiality, or having the idea of a predetermined style. Among many projects realized, the most important are the collective and private housings.
With his work “Yellow Palace” in Tirana he was nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award 2013 in Barcelona, and in 2014 won theAlbanian Architect of the Year Award given by the Albanian Union of Architects (AUA).
