INVITATION TO PARTECIPATE | International Competition for the Design of the Multifunctional Center and Information Stations of the “Vjosa last wild river” National Park 

Dear participant,

The Ministry of Tourism and Environment of Albania and the National Agency of Protected Areas have the pleasure to announce the International Competition for the Design of the Multifunctional Center and Information Stations of the “Vjosa River” National Park.

Through this post, we intend to invite interested groups to join our initiative for the strengthening and promotion of the natural and cultural values possessed by the territory of the Vjosa last wild river.

The International Design Competition aims to bring together the most innovative and creative design studios from various corners of the globe. It provides a unique platform for studios to showcase their talent, gain international recognition, and connect with industry leaders and fellow designers.

We are looking for architectural solutions in complete harmony with nature and landscape, proposals that will serve as catalysts for the national importance of this area. Concepts should be based on the principles created by identifying the natural characteristics, heritage, cultural, historical and archaeological values of the area, as well as on the best international experiences.

The competition takes place in two phases:

Phase 1: Expression of Interest

Expression of interest, eligibility and preliminary list of winners

At the end of the first stage, 3 finalists will be announced who will be awarded 26,000 euros each.

Phase 2:  Submission of Project idea

The person in charge for the competition is Ms. Daniel Pirushi, General Director of National Agency of Protected Areas.
